In these days of rapid change, it is fashionable to extol the
virtues of everything new, but in some areas there really is no substitute
for experience, accumulated over many years and proven by time.
Rajkowski have a
reputation in quality that goes back 100 years.
It was in
1911 that Joseph Rajkowski
started his building company in the small Polish town of Grudzonz. Here
the company flourished until the outbreak of war in 1939. The business
that he had built up over the years was immediately lost, but the skills
remained, and after the War the Rajkowski company was restarted with even
greater success.
In 1960 Alec Rajkowski moved the Rajkowski company to the UK, where it
quickly gained a strong foothold, again the key attributes of care and
attention to detail ensured widespread praise.
In 1977 Alec handed over the day-to-day running of the company to
his son Alf, whose passion for creative design was a breath
of fresh air compared to other builders (and often architects) bland
designs.
Alf still runs the Rajkowski company, and has
recently been joined by his son
Richard.
